Rockville is the county seat and the shop’s home since 2008. The address matters more than most: Rockville station sits on the Red Line’s Shady Grove arm, one stop from the end, and the MARC Brunswick Line and Amtrak stop there too. That is what turns a repair into a commute for everyone on this page: drop the car in the morning, walk a block, ride to work, pick it up on the way home. Two inspections come up on every page, so once more for clarity: the Maryland State Inspection (needed to sell, buy or title a used car) is done at licensed private stations like this one. The VEIP emissions test is a state program run at its own testing stations: the one the MVA calls “Rockville” (on Chieftain Avenue in Derwood) for most of the county, the one it calls “Silver Spring” (in White Oak) for the Silver Spring side.
