Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026. This policy covers Karnon Automotive and this website, www.karnonautomotive.com.
The short version
This website has no forms, no accounts and no tracking. It does not collect anything from you. The only information we hold about a customer is what you give us in person or over the phone so we can work on your car.
What we collect, and how
When you bring a vehicle in or call us, we typically take your name, a phone number to reach you with a quote, and the vehicle’s details (make, model, plate and mileage). For a Maryland State Inspection, the inspection result is transmitted to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration as the law requires. Nothing on this website asks you for any of that.
How we use it
To diagnose and repair your car, to call or text you with a price and a pickup time, and to keep our own repair records. We may contact you about a job you asked about. That is the whole purpose.
Calls and text messages
If you give us a phone number, you are agreeing that we can call or text you about your vehicle: a quote, a question, or “it’s ready.” Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. We never share your number with third parties for their marketing.
Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent or trade customer information. It is shared only where the work requires it: parts suppliers when a part is ordered for your car, the MVA for an inspection result, and the payment processor when you pay by card. We would also disclose information if the law required it, for example a court order.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when that map loads; see Google’s privacy policy for how it handles them. Nothing else on the site needs your consent, which is why there is no cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Repair records are kept while they are useful for running the business and for our record-keeping obligations. A repair history is genuinely useful to you the next time the car comes in. If you want your details removed sooner, ask us.
Security
Customer records are kept on access-restricted systems at the shop. This website is served over an encrypted connection. No method of storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we do not keep anything we do not need.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or come in and we will deal with it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with an updated effective date.
